Send a Parcel to Nigeria

7 working days · £6/kg · no minimum weight

Sending something smaller? We move parcels, packages, documents and excess baggage to Nigeria.

We send parcels, packages, documents and excess baggage to Nigeria — by air in 7 working days at £6 per kilo with no minimum weight, or by sea for anything less urgent. Collected across London and the home counties, or dropped off from anywhere, to our Lagos office or on to any state.

Not every shipment is a barrel or a container. A large amount of what we move is small: a parcel of clothes, a laptop, a set of documents, or the suitcase somebody could not fit into their airline allowance.

Parcels usually travel by air, arriving in 7 working days at our Lagos office for collection — or on to the door in any state, quoted by state.

Parcels and packages

Anything from a single box upwards. Air freight is £6 per kilo with no minimum weight, so a small parcel is priced as a small parcel — plus a £20 handling fee per shipment, which is the one reason to put several things in one box rather than send them separately.

Watch the box size as well as the weight. Air cargo bills on volumetric weight where that is higher, so a half-empty box costs you for the air inside it.

Documents

Passports, certificates, contracts, property papers and legal documents travel by air with tracking. This is one of the few things where we would always recommend air regardless of cost — the value is not in the paper, it is in the time lost if it goes astray.

Take a scan of everything before it leaves your hands.

Excess baggage

Airline excess baggage is charged per kilo at the desk, under time pressure, with no alternative. Sending the same weight as cargo — arranged a week or two earlier — is usually dramatically cheaper.

This is especially worth knowing for students at the end of term and for anyone travelling with more than they can carry. We collect from halls and home addresses across London and the home counties.

Collection or drop-off

We collect from your address across London and the home counties, or you can drop off from anywhere in the UK. Either way the parcel is cleared in Lagos and held at our office for collection — or delivered to the door, quoted by state.

Common questions

How much does it cost to send a parcel to Nigeria?

Air freight is £6 per kilo to our Lagos office with no minimum weight, plus a £20 handling fee. Door delivery is quoted by state. Because the handling fee is per shipment, combining several items into one box is usually better value.

How long does a parcel take to reach Nigeria?

By air, typically 7 working days to our Lagos office including clearance. Sea is cheaper for anything heavy but takes 4–6 weeks, so most parcels go by air.

Can I send documents to Nigeria?

Yes — passports, certificates, contracts and property papers travel by air with tracking, to our Lagos office or on to any of the 36 states. Scan everything before sending it.

Is this cheaper than airline excess baggage?

Usually, and often by a wide margin. Airlines price excess baggage to discourage it. Cargo booked in advance, collected from your address, generally costs a fraction of the same weight at the check-in desk.

Is there a size or weight limit?

No minimum and no maximum — larger loads simply move into our sea freight or barrel services, which are better value at that size. Send us the dimensions and weight and we will tell you the cheapest route.

Can I send a phone or laptop as a parcel?

Yes. Personal devices travel routinely and air is the sensible route for anything valuable. Back it up first and remove any lock that only you can clear.

What cannot be sent as a parcel?

The Nigeria Customs prohibitions apply regardless of shipment size — common tablets, retail-pack soaps, cooking oil and several foods among them. Aerosols and perfume are additionally restricted by air. Check anything you are unsure of with our items checker.
